Spring Cleaning with Simple Homemade Products
Ever wonder how to use everyday household items to clean tough surfaces?

Homemade silver polish:
Try using some lemon juice on the pieces to get the scuffs right out!

Need to descale kettles, irons or showerheads?
Try using one part vinegar to two parts water!

To clean a tough drain:
Try applying 1/2c. of baking soda and 1/2 c.  vinegar and let that sit for 15 minutes. Then rinse with boiling water. Do this twice a week to keep your sink free flowing.

A great shoe polish:
Try walnut oil, and a simple all-purpose cleaner can be made from 1/2 c. of ammonia, 1/2 c. of white vinegar, 1/4 c. of baking soda and 1/2 gallon of water.

Oven cleaner:
Use baking soda. Let it soak in well then wipe away.

Stove cleaner
Use 2 tablespoons liquid dish soap and 1 tablespoon borax mixed in a spray bottle. Let soak in one hour and then scrub.

Tub & tile cleaner
Use 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup white vinegar and 5 cups water.

Linoleum cleaner:
Use 1 cup white vinegar to 2 gallons of water.

Waxed wood polish:
Use 1/2 cup paraffin wax and 1/4 cup vinegar.

Floor polish
Use one part lemon juice to two parts olive oil.
