Tessa grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Tessa has been a part of the Town + Country team since 2006. She also has several years of Nanny experience and appreciates the importance of finding the perfect fit for both families and Nannies. Tessa lives in Mountain View with her husband and two children.
Jennifer joined Town + Country in 1997. She grew up in Cupertino and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from San Jose State University. Jennifer is truly passionate about finding the right match for both families and Nannies. She and her team pride themselves on delivering excellent customer service and building long term relationships while making successful placements. Jennifer lives in the South Bay with her husband and two daughters.
Amy grew up in Washington State. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Washington in Seattle. She worked as a Nanny through college. Amy first worked at Town + Country from 1998 until 2001 and then left to be a full-time Mom to her two daughters until joining the team again in 2012. Amy lives in the South Bay with her husband and two daughters.
Sarndra grew up on a dairy farm in New Zealand. She received a Diploma of Early Childhood Education, a National Nursery Examination Board certificate and a Certificate in Special Needs Education. Sarndra left New Zealand in 1994 and moved first to Canada, then England and finally the United States where she worked as a Nanny and a Baby Nurse for over ten years. Sarndra joined Town + Country in 2001 and says she enjoys working here because, “I love working with a great team, in a fast paced environment, helping our candidates find great jobs.” She lives in San Francisco with her husband and son.
MaryPat grew up in Westport, Connecticut and Lexington, Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. MaryPat spent the first half of her career in the non-profit sector. She founded and directed two early childhood education programs including Playschool in Atherton. She is the former Director of the Children and Outreach Programs for the Child and Family Institute in Menlo Park. MaryPat joined Town + Country in 2002 as a Placement Counselor and has been grateful for the opportunity to assist families on the Peninsula identify and hire the help they need for 17 years. She likes the fast-paced work environment, customer service, and team approach. She feels satisfaction when she can build relationships with clients and candidates and make successful placements to meet their specific needs. In her free time, MaryPat continues to enrich the community with her volunteer projects. After more than 20 years in Menlo Park, MaryPat recently moved to Los Gatos.
Annika grew up in the mountains of Northern California and earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Davis. She worked as a Nanny through college and moved to Italy right after graduation to be an au pair for a family in Rome. Once back in the United States, Annika worked in the au pair industry for four years prior to joining Town + Country. She finds it rewarding to help families connect with others who will make their home lives run more smoothly. Annika enjoys travel, writing, yoga, and spending time with her family.
Julia was born in the Bay Area and grew up in Modesto, CA. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a Childhood Studies minor from California State University, East Bay. Julia has worked with children as a Teacher and as a Nanny for several years. She loves using her own experiences to help Nannies find the best opportunities available. Julia lives in Oakland and enjoys reading, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with her family.
Katy was born and raised on Maui, where she grew up surfing and dancing both hula and contemporary. Katy attended the University of San Francisco where she studied European History and Psychology. During her tenure with two international law firms, she gained experience in all facets of Human Resources including recruiting, employment law and employee relations. Katy returned to the domestic staffing industry because she truly enjoys assisting candidates and families find the perfect match! Katy lives in the East Bay with her husband and two young children.
Brooke grew up in Morgan Hill. She graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Chemistry. Brooke worked as a Nanny throughout college. Living in San Francisco, she worked as an E.M.T. then she took on a role as a Behavioral Therapist working with children with Autism. Brooke has always wanted to help others and loves doing so at Town + Country. When she isn’t working, she likes to be outdoors, travel and listen to live music.
Hannah was born and raised in the Bay Area. She earned Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Christian Behavioral Science from California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. Hannah worked as a nanny for several wonderful families during and after college. She loves using her personal nanny experience to help families and nannies find great partnerships and build lasting relationships. Hannah lives in San Jose and enjoys going to the beach, going on road trips and spending time with family and friends.
Mari grew up in Chico and attended Butte College. While in Chico she became a cake decorator for a local bakery and used her artistic talent for 5 years. She traveled South America for three months and hiked Machu Picchu on the Inka trail. Mari lives in the East Bay and in her free time she enjoys traveling, taking her dog hiking and spending time with her husband and son.
Mariana grew up in Brazil and received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After graduation, she moved to the United States to be an Au Pair. Mariana worked for the same family for almost six years. Mariana oversees operational management systems and processes. In her free time, Mariana enjoys live music, movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Jessica was born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Recreation Administration. She worked as a Nanny throughout college and as a Preschool Teacher after graduating. Jessica has a big family and she is bilingual in English and Spanish. She lives in Redwood City and loves attending sporting events, hiking with her dog and spending time with family and friends.
Melissa grew up in Menlo Park with her parents and three siblings. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and joined Town + Country in 2006. For 16 years, Melissa loved working in the temporary department filling urgent requests for families and hearing the relief in a parent’s voice when she tells them that a pre-screened, qualified Nanny is on the way to their home! As of May of 2021, Melissa stepped into the Director’s role at Town + Country Resources where she oversees operations. Melissa lives in Oakland with her husband where they can be found riding their bikes or enjoying the sun at Lake Merritt.
Kate was born and raised in Palo Alto and is the youngest of three daughters. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University and Master’s degree in Public Administration from DePaul University in Chicago. Kate spent one semester abroad in Florence, Italy where she became a pasta and pizza aficionado. Kate began babysitting in middle school and was a Nanny to many wonderful families for almost ten years. Kate enjoys camping, kayaking and running the Stanford Dish with her husband.
Avienne attended The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco where she studied Business Management and Marketing. Throughout high school and college, Avienne worked in childcare and spent a few summers as a Camp Counselor for middle school and high school students. Though she has mostly found herself working in retail and corporate environments, she has always hoped to return to working in childcare. Avienne finds that being at Town + Country is the best of both worlds. When she is not working, Avienne loves to be outside in the sun, writing and spending time with her friends and family.
Aliah was born in Germany and grew up in a military family. She moved all over the United States growing up until her family settled in California. Aliah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine. She worked as a Nanny and a Tutor throughout high school and college. Aliah joined the Town + Country company in November 2020 and feels honored to be working for such a compassionate and supportive company. She is excited to enhance her knowledge and grow alongside her incredible teammates!
Gianna was born in the South Bay and has lived in the Bay Area for the majority of her life. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from San Jose State University. One of her favorite memories at San Jose State was having the opportunity to tutor young college students and to be a mentor. She’s always had a passion for childcare and even volunteered in daycare and as a Summer Camp Counselor. Gianna works on the temporary team at Town + Country and she is excited to be a part of such an uplifting community!
Aly was born and raised in the East Bay. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from The University of Texas, Austin. Hook’em Horns! While at The University of Texas, Aly worked in the Football Program in recruiting and operations. After college, she worked in Staffing Services at Google before joining Town + Country. Aly lives in Danville and enjoys spending time with her three children and husband.
Heather was born in Texas and grew up in Lake Tahoe. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She was placed by Town + Country Resources as a Nanny and later as a Personal Assistant. She enjoys working at Town + Country, because she can use her own experiences working in-home to help guide the candidates she works with. She loves the feeling of excitement in a candidate’s voice when she is able to tell them they have been hired for a great position.
