T+C’s “Tech Tips & Tricks” Seminar was a great success!
Last week, Town + Country hosted a tech tips and tricks seminar with keynote speaker Vickie Sokol Evans. Vickie is a Microsoft Certified Trainer with a background in comedy and improv, so we were all expecting an engaging, high-energy presentation … and we weren’t disappointed! Our candidates enjoyed Vickie’s “personality & charisma,” felt that her presentation was “clear” and “definitely very useful,” and thrilled with the productivity tips & tricks they learned that were “going to help [make them] more time efficient.”
Attendees also reported that the information they learned was clear, concise, ready to use and would help them to be more productive in their jobs immediately.
We were all especially pleased when Bonnie Low-Kramen made a special guest appearance! Bonnie made fun introductions and raffled off prizes that added to the excitement.
Everyone also enjoyed a few refreshments and hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to meet, catch up and network in person.
Being an Assistant in a corporate or private setting comes with many challenges. At T+C, we want to help our candidates meet those challenges by providing opportunities for professional growth through continuing education.
We also are grateful for the valuable feedback & suggestions we received for additional topics our candidates would like covered, including tips specific to the Mac environment (attendees overwhelmingly reported that their day-to-day work requires the use of Mac products and not Windows machines), information on social media use and privacy management, maximizing productive use of smart phones, as well as suggestions for additional technology training tailored for specific types of positions.
The T+C staff was energized by the event! And with the great suggestions we’ve received – and any additional ideas you would like to share with us – we look forward to offering more events in the future!
